ABSTRACT
This study examines the impact of quality control as an effective tool in product standardization. Faced with the problem of substandard products flooding the Nigerian markets and no proper standardization approach in most industries, the study was guided by the following objectives; to examine the process of quality control technique in printing industries in particular to Seven Up Bottling Company; To also highlight it importance in reducing the cost of correcting effective product in printing industries in particular to 7Up Bottling company; to also determine the impact of quality control techniques on profitability in printing industries in particular 7Up Bottling Company. Concerning methodology, the study employed descriptive and explanatory design, questionnaires in addition to library research were applied in order to collect data. Primary and secondary data sources were used and data was analyzed using statistical package which was presented in frequency tables and percentage. The study findings revealed the company lacks adequate storage facilities and programs for the implementation of quality plans Key recommendations from the study are; a monitoring sub-unit should be established for the sole purpose of quality control; modern technology should be adopted for quality and product standardization; training and development programs should be introduced to the organization
