Relationship Between Stomach Length and Body Height Among Young Adults

Abstract

The study examines the relationship between stomach length and body height among young adults, with emphasis on determining the association between variation in stomach length and differences in body height. The stomach is a major organ of the digestive system involved in the temporary storage, mixing, and digestion of ingested food. Knowledge of its dimensions and their relationship with general body measurements may contribute to understanding anatomical variation and provide useful reference information for clinical and radiological assessment of the upper gastrointestinal tract. The study will determine the stomach length among young adults and measure their body height using standardized procedures. The specific objectives will include determining the mean stomach length, assessing the mean body height of the participants, examining the relationship between stomach length and body height, and determining the strength and direction of any observed association between the two variables. A cross-sectional descriptive research design will be adopted for the study. An appropriate sample of young adults will be selected using a suitable sampling technique. Body height will be obtained through standardized anthropometric measurement, while stomach length will be determined using an appropriate imaging-based or anatomical assessment procedure.
